My Family Law Practice
I will help you pursue solutions to all issues that arise during a divorce proceeding, from disputes over child custody and visitation to controversies about the division of marital debts and assets. I also work closely with men and women to resolve child support issues, helping them understand the income shares model used in Tennessee. I will look at all relevant expenses your family will face, including things like dental care, health care and day care. I work with custodial or noncustodial parents at all stages of a divorce, whether they have just filed or need assistance with child support modification or enforcement proceedings.
In Tennessee, once you have filed for divorce, you must go to mediation before you can take your case to trial. I focus a significant component of my family law practice on the mediation process. I will help you fully prepare for mediation, carefully explaining the process, so that you know what to expect. I will also help you identify what you can reasonably expect to get from mediation, and what you might be willing to concede, in order to get the outcome you really want.
I will represent either side in a paternity action. I have helped many fathers successfully obtain visitation and other rights with children they have had out of wedlock.
